Below is a table containing limiting V speeds for operating the Boeing 717-200 series.

All speeds assume a maximum takeoff weight of 49,900kg and IAS reference speed.

VLO

250kts Maximum speed for selecting gear up/down
VLE 300kts Maximum speed for landing gear extended
VA 239kts Maximum speed for full control surface deflection
Flap 5° 280kts Maximum speed for extending flap 5°
Flap 15° 240kts Maximum speed for extending flap 15°
Flap 20° 240kts Maximum speed for extending flap 20°
Flap 40° 190kts Maximum speed for extending flap 40°
Flap 50° 190kts Maximum speed for extending flap 50°

Boeing 717-200 S.O.P's (Standard Operating Procedures)

Below is a list of Standard Operating Procedures that Qantas Virtual Airlines Pilots are to aim to fly each time they operate one of our aircraft. These S.O.Ps are being introduced to aid Check Ride pass rates and to give the pilot a learning tool to help in flying the aircraft to Airline Specific parameters thus enhancing the learning and enjoyment environment experienced within Qantas Virtual Airways and Flight Simulator.

Below 3,000ft

210kts Maximum IAS

Instrument Approach - Base Leg

190kts Minimum, maximum IAS must satisfy the "Below 3,000ft" criteria.

ILS Approach - 6 Miles

160kts Minimum

Gear Down - Gear down no sooner than 7 miles.

Stable Approach

1,000ft Rad Alt - (Stable = Vref -0kts / +15kts and within ½ scale deflection LLZ/GS, landing Power Set)

° Nose Attitude

+1° / +3° - From the Stable call at 1,000ft the nose attitude of the aircraft should be in the stated range.
